Zak Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Can a head unit short out or fail from voltage drops? Here is what happned. Driving home from work the other night, head unit just shuts down along with the amplifier. Now wont turn back on. Already check the harness everything is where it should be. Best Buy said it is still under the warrenty and will swap it out. Im just wondering what happened or if any one has a clue. thanks guys

1992Chevy K1500 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Can you take the HU out and get a pic? Some BB's don't know how to wire 2 batts in parallel, much less a full system. Zak Posted October 15, 2009 Author Report Posted October 15, 2009 I did check the fuses they check out well and also checked to see if the wires were connected. I dont own a multimeter so i couldnt check the current flow. Also I installed the unit myself. just purchased it at best buy.
