fi audio Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 well i was just wondering if it would make a difference to put the port to the side of a box a L shape port which is coming out the side and have the sub mounted on the top of the box? would it be tuned the same as it would as if it was on the same side of the port? Setup: Headunit: 7" indash screen Sub: fi bl 12 Amp: Audioque 1200D Box Ported tuned to 34hz Big 3 done in 1/0 gauge

I don't personally see a problem with that except I haven't seen many builds with the port going to the side, only a few like that. I have read at a few places though that putting the port to the side isn't as loud as having the port facing backwards, fowards or up, but idk how true that is.
