03navi Posted November 4, 2009 Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) ok so ive had my amp under my bed for about a 2months now,and today i got bored and decided to hook it up and wen i did i put the volume at 5 0f 35 , and added a lil bass then i made a "click" sound and the bass cut out so i took off the bass a the bass came in, ok i have stock 150 amp alt, 1 duracell 1000 amp battery, and one HC2400 in the back , one 250 amp fuse 0 gauge power and ground ! why is this happening? Don't some amps have built in clipping protection circuit's? Honestly, I just heard that some do. But (if I heard right and they exist), the theory would be to shut the amp down if it detects a clipped signal. Try some other songs. Get a vid if you can.
