SJClark09
Anyone know anything about them? I want a custom gaming pc but I don't know how to put one together myself so. I've heard good and bad things about them so I thought I would get some further opinions. So if you have one lets hear it! S15_Silvia
I would stay away from them. I've heard a lot of times that their systems have sub par build quality, or simply aren't shipped in adequate packaging. If you want a custom computer from a reputable company, I'd look at some of the models from Digital Storm or Velocity Micro. A quick google search will get you to their homepages of course. S15_Silvia
An Alienware is a dressed up Dell with some blue LEDs and maybe a liquid cooling system thrown in. It's still made of the same cheap internals at the end of the day. Coming from a computer hardware engineering major, just telling you guys I know a thing or two. If you're looking to only spend somewhere between 500 and 1000, I'd suggest building it. There are so many tutorials out there...plus for that money you'd be able to get FAR better components if you bought them all and built it up.
