drumminian
Well i decided to open a thread just for this because my question wasn't getting answered.... So my brother-in-law gave me this set up about a month and a half ago... they've been making a rattle like sound at high volumes now for a while I just thought it was the shitty box it sounds like something hitting the magnet or something like that maybe the cone hitting something I took them outa the box and the noise is still there but not nearly as loud as it is in the box, maybe like on 10% as loud.. and when it happens sometimes it can play some tones really loud then when a different tone comes it makes the rattle noise.. and it happens when my voltage goes down really low like 10volts(on a DMM)...yah I know I need to upgrade my big 3 but I haven't gotten a PM back from him yet :/....maybe its underpowering? any ideas what this could be? I'll try to get a video sometime this week to show you the noise it is making. any possiblitly that one of the voice coils in both of the subs are damaged? how do I test the voice coil to make sure they are not messed up so I dont have to worry about that Alpine CDA-9887 15" FI BL JBL BP1200.1 Rockford Fosgate p142 4" front Rockford Fosgate p1S652 6.5" rear Optima D35 yellow top under hood Big 3 all in a 1997 Toyota Tercel
