I am debating on a box to build for my two Alpine Type R 12's for a daily setup. I want clean, accurate bass down low. The three boxes I am looking at are posted above.

I listen to almost anything with beat in it, lot of rap, techno, C&S, rock, just want it to be accurate with everything.

I have 36x16x35 inches at my disposal if I build inside the trunk of my 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix.

the 4th order would be ported through the rear deck most likely.

Let me know whatcha think!

How much power?? I have a ton of experience with Rs, mostly 12s + 15s.

The 12s off around 1500w to each pair was the loudest(daily tuning) in 2.3ft3 per woofer @ 35hz w/ 30in^2 of port per sub. We tested it in a bunch of box setups from anywhere from 1.5ft3-2.5ft3 and this was the best we found.

1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN.

Pioneer AVIC-N2

(12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each

Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... (10) Northstar NSB-125s

26ft3 @ 33hz w/ a ton of port area

156.5 @ 40hz @ dash, Db Drag style / 153.2 Bassrace

I will be using an MTX 81000d which is rated 1000w at 2ohm but I've heard claims it does up to 1500. But its only fused to do 864 watts...(150Ax14.4V/2x.8?) So IDK what power I'm going to see.

Was that a common chamber or split chamber enclosure?

ive ran many type rs in my grand prix in quite a few boxes the lowest ive had it tuned to was 35 which is where im at right now it sounds nice and clean it could be cleaner if i had a better amp but its at 2 cubes per sub after displacement ive had them up to 2.5 per sub and its nice sound but the 2.5 was at 40 hertz whats the most power u have put on them? mine were getting kinda warm at about 1400 but its pry cuz of the cheap amp

Common chamber and for 2 $100 subs it was pretty nasty off only around 1500w.

I have been told my amp can do 1500 at 2 ohms at 14 volts but I do not have the best voltage. I know my lights dim a bit but don't know what my voltage is dropping to ATM.

Idk, I may just build a few boxes and see what happens.
