Super loud until I kick the sub on... got my old SDC2.5 in right now to hold me off, i was going fucking nuts without any bass for like 3 weeks. Playa Named Joe Posted April 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2010 Well, got my NEW SDC2.5 in today, the spiders are yellow instead of black which is lame, but oh well, you don't see it. Other then that they look about the same, AQ gave me a tracking number and an invoice, which wasn't provided when I ordered my first one. There are some changes between my old and new one, idk exactly, but I got my old one around the Christmas Sale and I heard they were selling the cheap because they were going to be making some changes. On another note, I've been bumping my First SDC2.5 and the coil was already open so I thought "What the hell, might as well finish it off" so i got a nice 10 hz tone... kept the signal clean... and let it rip... lasted maybe a minute before it just stopped. It didn't make a sound, just stopped. lol. Playa Named Joe Posted April 5, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 5, 2010 Got the new sub in and hooked up, and boy does it sound good, going to be taking it easy with her for a while though to break it in. I'm going to be getting a Stinger Voltage meter because the XScorpion one refreshes like 50 times a second and you can't really tell what the voltage is... So, maybe tomorrow I will be getting the box mounted to the floor and my back seat in. I got about 4 layers on the truck lid, after about 2 layers there was almost no flex. I bought way to much lol, I still have 7 sheets left and idk were to put it, I don't want to have to take my box out to to the trunk floor because I'd have to take my seats out again, and it's a pain. So idk yet what to do. I also put 2 layers on the back part of the trunk on the inside panel by the tail lights and the latch. Now, I can hear all the other annoying rattles, and my passenger door makes this loud ass knocking sound when the lows hit that wasn't there before. I'll get pics up soon. I'm thinking about getting my other SDC2.5 reconed, and have 2 15s in the trunk with an aeroport. Do aeroports sound any different then slot ports? Also, if someone could send in the direction of an easy to use aeroport calcuator for tuning that is accurate, that would be awesome. I don't think many people really look at my build so... 2 Layers of Damplifer, I wanted to do more, but there are all kinds of bends and things that make it hard to apply. 4 Layers, let me say that again, 4 layers of damplifier on the lid. I need to get out and make it look a little better, I did all this in the dark, so I couldn't see what I was doing. and... how it looks...
