ryanland86 Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Alright, I got 2 12" Kicker CVXs in a ported box. The box is 4.08 cubic feet. The box was built to be in the 35 hz range but for some reason when I went to meter the car the other day, the loudest tone I hit was at 57 hz. My question is what do I need to do to lower the hz so I can hit around 40-45? I'm willing to build as many boxes as possible, but I need to be sent in the right direction before I spend $300 on wood and materials. 1998 Acura TL 1 260 Amp Iraggi Alternator 3 Stinger SPV44 batteries 2 Stinger Volt Gauges(one to monitor front/one to monitor back batteries) 2 12" DD 2500 Series 2 Kenwood eXcelon X1200M sub amplifiers 1 Kicker ZX200.4 highs amp 1 Kicker KQ9 9 Band Equalizer 1 pair DD 1" tweeters 1 pair Pioneer Premier 6.5" front door speakers 1 pair Pioneer Premier 6x9" back dash speakers 1 Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Capacitor(for highs amp) Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693 headunit All Rockford Fosgate wires and RCAs Custom made subwoofer box 145.8 Driver Side Kick Panel(Back Seat not folded/57 hz) Coming Soon: 1 pair of DD 6.5" Woofers(Glassed in Front Doors)
Beanz Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 maybe that is teh cars frequency or sumthing like that where at that certain note 57 its loudest in your car.HOw long is your port on your original box?and is it slotted or aero port styyle? That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
