I decided to redo my box first with two 4 inch aeroports firing into my reardeck :hairtrick: I took off my back panel, didnt take long just had to remove two screws and pull it off. I didnt want to have to do any cutting into my rear deck, so I opted to go with 4 inch ports vs 6 inch, however after doing a dry run with a small 4 inch pvc it seems Im going to have to cut about 3/4 inch off or bend a small metal piece anyway. You can kind of see it in the picture. Ill get a better one soon. Just a small update. Im hoping to start 'working' on my box after thanksgiving. rear 6 1/2 speaker thats coming out. for the blow through rear deck after right 6 1/2 is removed Test piece of 1 4 inch PVC pipe The problem. Gotta cut or bend this little piece here Edit: I woke up this morning to work on cutting the 'problem piece' out and bent my blade. Then I realized I would not be able to fit 4 inch ports in there regardless because of my trunk rails. Instead Im going to do 2 3 inch x 8' ports. Hope I dont get any port noise. Update tomorrow. Anyway I decide to work on my door panels first instead of the sub box. Heres some pics. Panels just covered in fleece This is with a coat of resin applied After bondo has been applied and first coat of primer I sanded again after this but I did not take any pics :-( sorry. I found out from a paint sho[ that this is supposed to be one of the best paints to reduce chipping and that actually BINDS itself onto surfaces so that it bends with the material it is applied to worked pretty good for me and it is HIGH SHINE. In between wet sanding with 320 grit paper Final product It could be better. I feel like black brings out a lot of the imperfections ESPECIALLY around the edges. :censored: ANyway....The wet sanding REALLY helped with the glossyness. I can almost see my reflection. I still have 3 more panels to work on. The beginning After I had applied roughly three layers of fiberglass, bondo'ed applied primer and three top coats this was the outcome. It looked OK but it was still rough around the edges. I decided to cover it with carpet and use Krylons fusion for plastic paint on the parts of my door that were not fiberglassed ( picture of the spray paint on next update) This was the outcome . So now I have to work on the other 2 panels. I have three installed and in my car now finishing up my 4th and final panel tomorrow. For you picture lovers, sorry no pics yet. I have some but they were taken at night and they dont look that good so I'll take more in the morning. AND I received my surprise today . Pics tomorrow. If you got them to fit in the deck with the torsion bars all in the way, props to you!
