I said no way when I saw that you were from South Beloit. I went to South Beloit, the old one on Blackhawk Blvd. I am muuuuuch older than you, though. I have heard of the haunted barn, over there by I-90 I think, never went to it but I think I pass by it on my semi-country rides. I may have missed it, but what is your ETC on your enclosure. I have a Tahoe also, and those seats make the perfect mounting location for the amps, everyone seems to use that spot including me.

yeah thats actually where i live if you didn't notice the "trailofscreams.com" stickers on my Tahoe, i do not have the dimensions yet but once i do im putting them into a CAD program and i will upload specs/rendered pics for everyone, its realy hard to explain but ive done the rough measurements and it will work

Alright guys the new setup will be 4 type r 15's instead of the 8 kicker comp 15's. you all wanted the box specs now here they are =] (edited from earlier)

cool man I cant wait to see how this comes out, I am going to be doing a build very close to this one in the spring in my truck accept your going to be pushing a little more power and my box will probably be a little bit bigger. Good luck post vids

yeah i realized that even though it was at recommended, 2.9 per sub isn't a lot. so i redid my box design to make it taller(see a few posts above)

Thats about the gross size of the box im playing with for designs so far but you may want to have alot more port area, if you notice the range to shoot for in that box would be 192^2 '' - 256^2 '' and a 10x12 port is only 120^2. Im no expert when it comes to ports but if you have to big or too small of a port it can sound bad or you will get port noise. before you make it final I would double check that with someone that can tell you more than I can about port area.

Well just for example, If you look where it says port area range it says 192-256 square inches. A 10X12 port length X width to get surface area= 120^2 inches. I have heard from many people a good rule of thumb is to have 12-16 ^2 inches of port per every cubic foot of box volume, my box design will be between 16.5 and 17.5 ^3 before displacement so Im in the range you are and I am leaning towards a 14X15'' port that is equal to 210^2 inches of port area. I am going to tune my box to 36 hz (most likely the build is still a couple months away) but to tune a port that size to 36 hz in that box would be 14.5 inches deep. (these are not exact numbers for your box they are estimated numbers for my box that I ran to get an idea of what I am looking at)
