Money isnt easy to make. I know it may be cheaper and most guys here dont believe in low end but at least you would have some beat. I personally have seen a few of those trucks but never with any type of system so definitely post up pics of the install. I know there may be some out there with installs but I myself have yet to see one personally.

This is true, but if the money from those two subs and amp are 1/3 of the way to the other gear, wouldn't it be shrewd to just keep saving and get what you want?

Just guesstimating since last time I got an estimate for 1508's they were $150 apiece, then a decent amp to push them, maybe $2-400?

Too many projects, too little time...

haha yes women break your wallet especially when it comes to money for your install. might be good to save up for that install and while saving do some deadening a bit at a time. This would ensure the best sound when you do finish and you will be highly proud when you get the install completed.

yea i mean if you think about it in the long run you will have aucually saved money because you would have to buy the 1st then sell it for mabyee 3/4 of what you got it for if youre lucky. and damn women why are they soo good at making me spend money

ied try this set up, about the same price n should be better equipment also

amp = http://www.woofersetc.com/p6401/KAC8104D--...t-Amplifier.htm

sub = http://www.woofersetc.com/p2848/DS12D4--Di...l-Subwoofer.htm

ive heard that kenwood amp is good, n diamond subs are pritty good also

that system will be prolly less cost wise n should sound alot better too

ive personally heard 2 of these http://www.woofersetc.com/p6394/TSSW301--P...t-Subwoofer.htm on a mtx 1501d n they hit lows pritty good n got pritty loud also in a small box

if i was u ied make the box liek a downfire but face it twards the back of the cab n give the sub around 2'' of recess legs n u can angle the back of the box to conture with the seat n mount the amp on other side n should be good to go

if u have it faceing seat u'll have issues with cone surround rubbing n what knot but the rear faceing downfire type box could n should yeald better output, ive heard a setup with that pioneer 12 like this n it sounded pritty good n u'll have no worries with seat hittin sub

heres a vid of that pioneer in action to give u an idea

Hello, im Kevin lately i have been thinking of adding a system to my 1990 4wd Isuzu PUP std. cab. I have been wondering about shallow mount subs and how good they hit im thinking of these Kenwoods http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFCWS12/Ke...S12.html?tp=111 on a VERY! tight budget

this is the amp http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158ZZR3301/So...301.html?tp=115 me and a friend of mine are going to be building the box

Thanx

I played around with the shallows for a good year. I ran the pioneer shallow subs back in 2008 that could take 350rms. the ones that had the silver middle cone and black cone. I ran 4 in my single cab truck and they did hit very well for shallow subs. I never got the chance to port them, but in sealed box they did a 143db on the audio shop, "this was done on a AC meter so the reading is not 100% but can give you somewhat of an idea atleast"

2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs

1 3500d AQ amp

146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz

RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars
