im pretty sure coil rub dosent make a popping noise. coil rub is where you clip the shit out of the sub and the coil heats up and melts making it deformed

Ok, so I guess it's not coil rub... Thanks

anywhere. walmart, oreilly's, lowes, home depot, meijer might have some.

it could also be from a misaligned coil

Misaligned coil? How would that happen? The sub played fine for a week, but about after a week it started making the weird popping noise on certain frequencies.

Well, I guess first chance I get it's coming out and getting looked over. I'm kinda pissed. First "big" system, for me, and it's messing up not even 2 weeks after I get everything up and running. I think I've pretty much taken it easy on it too. Gain about 1/3, no bass boosting at all.

Well, I heard that AQ's CS is pretty good, I think. Lol. I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to talking to anyone to see if it's covered under warranty since my amp is rated 500rms... But I still need to take it out and look at it, and if the spiders came undone or something, be easier to glue that then have it sent in.
