Playa Named Joe
im pretty sure coil rub dosent make a popping noise. coil rub is where you clip the shit out of the sub and the coil heats up and melts making it deformed Ok, so I guess it's not coil rub... Thanks anywhere. walmart, oreilly's, lowes, home depot, meijer might have some.it could also be from a misaligned coil Misaligned coil? How would that happen? The sub played fine for a week, but about after a week it started making the weird popping noise on certain frequencies. Playa Named Joe
My H/U is never really up much, max I usally have it is 25/35 and that may be only for like 10-15 seconds, I have Bass on 0, and NO bass boosters set on my H/U or amp. So clipping should be a problem? Quote 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix build
Playa Named Joe
The sound in the beginging is kinda what it sounds like in person, it's like a high pitched squeak. Quote 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix build
FatBoy2
Well, I guess first chance I get it's coming out and getting looked over. I'm kinda pissed. First "big" system, for me, and it's messing up not even 2 weeks after I get everything up and running. I think I've pretty much taken it easy on it too. Gain about 1/3, no bass boosting at all. God i hate this feeling. RD audio's customer service :01nocomment8so: Quote 1991 Chevrolet Camaro - 355ci, modded. RD audio's customer service :01nocomment8so: Well, I heard that AQ's CS is pretty good, I think. Lol. I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to talking to anyone to see if it's covered under warranty since my amp is rated 500rms... But I still need to take it out and look at it, and if the spiders came undone or something, be easier to glue that then have it sent in.
