What size battery and Alternator will I need and will KnuKonceptz 1/0 KLM wire be good? I was wondering what I would need as far as electrical upgrades. I am thinking about the Orion XTR15001 but I dont want to if I have to spend a lot of money on electrical What car? You're not getting into THAT much, all I have is the big 3, and a kinetik hc1400 sitting in the back, my voltage stays at 14.4 with high beams on and heat driving down the road doing 45. The way you connect a battery in the back is just do + from front, to + in the back, and - in the front, to - in the back. Grounding the back battery to the frame works too btw. My battery in the back sits at 12.7 when the car is off, and yes I am still running a stock alternator too and everything is running smooth. kl0wn Posted December 5, 2009 Report Share Posted December 5, 2009 Would I have to have a battery in the back or would a better one in the front and big 3 work Well at first I was going to just replace the front battery with the Kinetik 1400, but the battery post were coming up too far, and I had the extra wire to add it in the back so I just didn't even worry about fitting it in the front and just threw it in the back. A better one up front and big 3 should work though depending on what you replace the front with, not 100% positive on that though. Maybe somebody that has more knowledge about it will see this and tell you if it will work fine or not.
