UMGixxer
I was wondering about low frequency response of an amplifier and subs and also box tuning. I have a pair of Kicker CVXs dual 4 ohm subs and im running them with a Hifonics BXi2006D amp. I noticed that the low frequency response of this amp is 35HZ but my subs can hit frequencies below this number, so does this mean that my amp will not produce a signal below 35Hz, and also i have my box tuned to about 33Hz, so can someone help me out here
tristan560
Nope your amp will produce freqs much lower than that. Thats why it has a subsonic filter on it. Where youre seeing 35hz is the knob to boost the freqs close to that freq. 99 Jimmy SLT 4WD Systemless. 99 Grand Prix GTP DC XL 12 on 1.5k tuned lowwwwww.
