Orion H2 15.2s

Recommended Posts

What's up Everyone. This is my first post although I'm on this site all the time. I'm in the Air Forcce staioned in Germany and would like advice on building a ground pounder. I have (2) Orion H2 15.2s and I just purchased a 1999 Explorer Sport to use as my daily driver. I purchased a box from this local audio shop previously installed in an Explorer tuned to Orion Specs (33Hz). How do you think this will sound? I will be running a XX Colossus II. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out how to resize these pics.

Here is a pic of the box installed. As you can see it's a rather tight fit...just waiting on the amp to get here. Please feel free to tell me what you think.

perfect fit for the back. im thinking of building a box like that for my wagon. only difference is that it will hold 4 15" subs.

WoW! 4 15s would be LOUD!! I plan on upgrading to the 2007 HCCAs but this install will keep me busy threw the summer. This isn't the original box i planned to put in...I went by the stereo shop to get a bracket for the deck and the guy saw my truck and wanted to know if I planned on running 15's because he had a box for some H2's in the back...how ironic is that? The box my friend is building for me will be similar but with aero ports firing back.

This is what I have installed:

(2) Orion H2 15.2

1 Hifonics Colossus (being shipped)

Eclipse 8455 Head Unit

JL Audio XR5.25 components

Phoenix Gold Ti 400.2

Phoenix Gold Power Core 15 Farad cap

I will most likely need to upgrade the Alternater and was thinking about a 200amp one. I'm hoping this will sound good. We will see once the amp gets here but until then I will be stripping the truck down and running all wires this weekend. :D Anyone have any expeience with the H2's or the Colossus?
