making a box for 18" btl to fit in mazda 3.... UPDATED (read last post)

yea,, so heres what I have so far, drawn up a few plans of a box to fit an 18" FI BTL sub in the trunk of my mazda 3 sedan, now, this aint gonna be easy lol, heres the drawing i did.

so yeh the dimensions are 34" wide, 24" deep (both top and bottom) and 18" high

now I still dont know what size to make the port or where to put it or anything,, all I know is that it should be tuned to 34hz right?. well thats another thing I need help with if its not too much trouble . thanks guys

here are the dimensions to the box i jsut made for that car.... 18hx34wx24d

port: 16.5Hx5Wx15D tuned to 34.78Hz and 5.92 cubes...sub up port back or front... up to you but i dno if there will enough room the get alot of air around the box in the trunk..trunk cars suck

lol dude, u legend thanks m8, umm I have my back seats down so plenty of air will get in if the port is facing the front of the car

lol yea and even when you get the box made how are you exzactly going to angle it in the trunk to fit it in???You know its kinda like trying to shove a medium size turtle in your toilet hole ya know :clover: :01nocomment8so: :ban: :shot:

ha na i just used Exosports calculater... it tight but i want somone else to check it before you go and build it... and ok i just hope alot of air doesn;t go back into the trunk like that but you should be ok but dont hold me to it

hmm good point and I was wondering about that too, I think ill be able to fit it in by taking out the back seats and some plastic covers then sliding it in.

Quote on quote if he had the skills what will hold the glue together while its int the trunk it could possibly oozzz all over the carpet of the trunk and what no his saw could cut deeper and possibly cut into his car things are going to happen it wont turn out pretty and ill be amazed if it works ill rate him a 5 out 5 star rating and if he fails ill rate him a a 1 outa 5 star rating..
