Ndnkobra
Hey guys, i'm thinking about starting the Big 3 upgrade due to the power need in my system. I've made a list of what i'm going to get and i was wondering if you guys could help me out with a couple things. Here's what i'll be getting -15ft Knu Kolossus Flex Wire -6 0/1 crimps -wiring loom My question is what kind of fuse and fuse holder i should get for the upgrade, i've been having some slight problems since i'm on a tight budget. The fuse is really not a problem, but what kind of rating should i get, 250a or 300a? And m biggest pain would be to find a correct fuse holder that'll hold 0/1ga wire and 300a. I found a fuse holder by dblink, but the thing looks so massive that i've afraid that i wouldn't be able to mount it in a safe place. If anyone could help me select a fuse and a fuse holder, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
ch0sen
http://www.darvex.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Scr...t_Code=ANL2020G so you won't need any connectors http://www.darvex.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Scr...uct_Code=MANLPL 5 dollar fuse, i would buy 2 or 3(always need a back up right) and i just started a thread that pretty much ended with a boycott on knu koncepts CCA wire, get some tsunami or kicker wire, i mean, 10 bucks more for pure copper, its def worth it and 250 amp fuse should be fine esp for that KK wire Don't forget to solder those wires to the connector, dont want to risk a hot 0 gauge wire flying around in your engine My current 95 Jetta Build w/ pioneer h/u 2 RD Sonance 10's with flatwind coils 2 Audiopipe apsm 1500.1s 1 Hifonics Brutus Elite 60x4 1 XS d925 1 Stinger spv35 1 1000 amp lead acid 50 ft of 0/1 ofc from Audiotechnix all powerbass components, and coaxils, 4 sets buildlog = http://www.stevemead...2-rd-10s-build/ My build for my wife. http://www.stevemead...01-f-150-build/
dannyp
i agree with ch0sen, a 250 amp fuse would be adequate and i had a mate that just stuck the power cable to the connector and came flying out while driving on the motorway (highway) at 95, so yeah solder that beast in!
