Thewes
One of my coils recently went bad out of no where (was not thermal failure, sub was receiving a clean 900 watt signal.) and was curious how much recones usually go for? I would email Jake but I send him almost an email a day and I'm trying to not clog up his inbox. It was a dual 1 ohm 56mm coil with extra stiff spiders. The odd thing is one coil reads fine on the multimeter, but the other side that reads OL, or over load.

It does not mean over load ....sounds like you have broke a lead ...ol means you have a open ..tinsel would be my first spot to look Edited December 16, 2009 by Team Nemesis-DJ
