I have a 2001 Tahoe and was wondering which option to go with. First, what is the beefiest size i can place on the stock wheel/height? Or second. If I got a 4" lift what size wheel/ tire reccomendation do you have? I really like the Wragler duratracs I saw a set in 315/75/16. What size wheel would that fit?

Thanks

That would fit a 16 inch wheel.. the last number is the wheel size.. with the stock height u may can fit a 285/75 under it.. with a 4 inch lift i wouldnt go any bigger than 33/12.50's

Oh ok. so would a 265 fit better? would it just be more practical to get the leveling kit or go for the 4 inch lift?
leveling kits are nice and you can run 285's which are narrow 33's. with a 4" you can run wider 33's. in all honesty IFS chevys dont like lift kits at all... through the years i have found that the wider the tire the faster it kills your front end. a 4" lift with 30575r16's and 8" wide wheels is the perfect combo. remember though, if you wanna play you gotta pay so do whatever makes you happy... after all thats what its all about. ;)
