28hz is to low for a daily driver. Tune it to 35 thats perfect and i listen to alot of rap(gucci mane) and i have 2 18in fi bl's

Does it still get low? I was thinking 30-32hz

@Treossi I dont plan on doing anything till I get my electrical done I want to make these last as long as possible

@Nirvalica I talked to a guy and this is what he has in his blazer. I'm not on my computer so I cant use expos calculator so I'm not sure how many cubic feet it is but he says hes got 2 18s in it tuned to 35 hz and he hits 153s

28hz is recommended for the 18" Q. For BL, yes, 35 is good. For the q's, stick with 28.

Would I be able to fix tune it higher if its too low for daily? or do you think that it will be great..I like to listen to the low slow stuff but i still like the regular stuff too so i want it to hit all of that

leme give you some personal insight. ive had my 18" Q in sealed,ported @28hz, and now ported @34hz.

ported @28 is awesome if you can handle playing mostly slowed material, as it plays the lowest notes you can put through it [ 30hz to under 20hz is the sweet spot ] in my application. it is severly lacking in output for most rap and other music above 45 or 50hz [ again my app ].

ported @ 34 plays with a lot more output and range better suited for more variety of music. still gets low [ 20-35hz very pronounced ] just doesnt go to the depths like it did at 28.

i had an saz1500 powering it for a year, now an saz 3000d. the Q in my app could and did handle the 1500 all day without a problem. the 3k im able to lean on it for about 3 songs before i ease off, so yeah i have 3x rated power on it, dont try this yerself, but thats proof it handles power more then most think.

mine has BP power option also btw d2 wired to 1ohm on all amps

so..if you want extreme lows dont hesitate with Q

personaly, i would probly choose the bl though for most apps imo

Oh and on an AudioPipe 3000 watt amp wired at 1 ohm..so should I get the dual 1 ohm or dual 2 to run this amp on them at 1 ohm..or does it matter

2 subs for a 1ohm load do d1 coils in a series/parallel config

that sound good? Heres my max dimensions 38in wide, 22in tall, and 31in long..can anybody tell me what the port should be? I have expos calculator but I'm new to box building and I want to make sure I dont have any port noise..by the way its subs up port back
