donellk Posted December 27, 2009 Report Share Posted December 27, 2009 I need to start getting batterys, the wall is coming next month i was thinking 2 deka g31 in the trunk and a yellow top under the hood I will be running 2 ap3000d and 2 ap1600.4s I have a 300amps dc power alt. (150 or so at idle) and i will be getting a mla next month also Would this be a ok power system on a daily driver using that much rms? Toady Posted December 27, 2009 Report Share Posted December 27, 2009 I've heard from alot of members on here, that an optima isn't the best battery to go with under the hood, it's a good battery in all but doesn't like when you throw 15.3 volts or more at them. I mean it might differ for you and other people, i just wanted to let you know. If you have the money i would go for one of the xs power batts, or kinetic batts. they have many to choose from, and will be worth it in the long run and are really not that expensive.
