i've had some trouble with my amp and cap the last two days. It worked fine monday night when i came home, then yesterday morning it wouldn't turn on. then in the after noon when it got warmer (it was 10 degrees yesterday morning) it worked. Again this morning it wouldn't turn on, same temp from yesterday.

I was thinking has anyone else had problems with there amps when the temps are really low or do you guys think it might be something else.

what voltage are you at? your battery may be dieing in the cold making the amp unable to turn on. my amps work fine even sub zero, and i dont really see any reason mechanically that cold would cause it to not work.

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

i don't know my volts i don't have a volt meter in my car yet. i was going to get that in my next build. But if my batt was dying then wouldn't my car not want to start. it starts just fine with no issues. doesn't even hesetate.

Bad solder joints often fail in the cold and then join back together when things warm up a bit. Is your amp screwed to your box?
