waniack85
all right, it might just be me getting too used to my stereo or something, but when i installed my components in my doors i figured my doors would be pretty loud, but I feel like it just isn't keeping up with my 4 RF T1 12's. I set up each set of components to just about 20V on my DMM and o-scope, but I also notice that my components don't start clipping until i reach around 29 on my alpine, but have it set at 23 at 20V. So in other words I can set the gains higher on my amp until it starts to clip, but don't want to set it that because I will be overpowering the speakers? Is it good that i'm setting it at 20v when its really not close to clipping. The reason I bring this up is, because in videos with guys setting their gains with an o-scope don't really take into account of the voltage (or it seems?) they are sending, but rather set it to the max point before it starts to clip and call it good. 143.3 @ 32hz Sealed up/mic on dash w/term lab.
