This is starting to scare me a little bit......Voltage Q

Recommended Posts

add a voltage regulator that is adjustible. problem solved

Agree, or if your alternator has an adjustable regulator (like my mechman), turn it down a volt.

Read the manual/specification of your batteries, most do NOT like charging at 15v!

im at work so I just had time to finally disconnect my MLA, removed both mla pigtails from the alts, and just plugged in my factory alt pigtail to the 1 alt closest to the throttle body, and voltage came down a whole 1.2/3 volts. im now a little better @ 14.7/8v....... The MLA is still powered, as I dont have the tools here to remove the power/ground wires for it, but since it is not connected to any of my alts, should make a bit of difference.

had one cold start up like yours started at 15.8 then touched a 15.9 then settled out to 15.2v

difference is I just slam on my system until it gets down :D

driving around I see 15.2v constantly and I've had no problems with my kinetik bulging

Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Wouldn't a MLA module be smart enough to back off on the voltage a bit when it starts creeping up higher? Seems like a good feature to add...

I personally cant wait til this whole..."Man... My voltage is 15.4! Its awesome!" craze is overwith. Hopefully soon.

I mean come on... seriously.... Just because it gets a little cold outside and your voltage goes up a few tenths and you start having problems dont you think thats a little much......

couldn't agree more............

Smart..... I dont think there is a microprocessor in there. LOL. A diode can only be so smart.

LOL!

Iraggi, I dont mean to get you upset (If it does, im sorry) But I cant wait till Rob gets his external voltage module ready, this should be the ticket for me........ ROBBBBBBBBB, any ETA?
