Ben Building Posted January 10, 2010 Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 I would definitely do the square port as opposed to the rectangular one, if I were you. All things being equal between the square and rectangular port, the square port will be louder because it will have less surface friction inside the port. Also, if you can, move that port up so it doesn't share one wall with the enclosure. This will also make your port flow better. I know I already have the plans for the 2 18s but I just started thinking about doing 1 18 level 5 with the AudioPipe 3000d then after I get more money adding a second level 5 and another or a bigger amp..What do you guys think I should do because I mainly just want to save money in the long run also because it would be cheaper for one level 5 than 2 level 4 18s I might even be able to get a better or bigger amp for the 1 18..so what do you guys think I should do? Ftl maybe if he was using aeros also use allthread for the bracing 1/2 or 5/8.
