Running two 4ohm SVC subs into a 2ohm load

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I bought a Hifonics 1610D for my subs after my RF551s fried. I'm curious as to how to run two 12" Single Voice Coil 4ohm subwoofers into a 2ohm load properly given that it's possible. The amp came with wiring diagrams however only for dual voice coil subs. Any suggestions or diagrams that you may have I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks.

Set up

Pioneer DEH-3000IB Head Unit

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1462 in front slots

Kicker DS460 4"x6" in rear slots

(2) Kenwood KFC-W3011 12" SVC Subs

Hifonics BXi 1610D Amp for Subs

Metra Wiring

Stock alternator

Standard Duralast Battery

GO TO ROCKFORDFOSGATE.COM AND GO TO THE WIRING DIAGRAM!

THEN YOU CAN TELL THE COMP WHAT YOU HAVE AND IT SHOWS YOU WHAT TO DO!

"yes... it will play like that all day!"

Maybe its just me but most of your posts reflect the level of retard you are.

Anyways to the OP there are plenty of sites that have diagrams and such. 12volt is a good one and so is

www.crutchfield.com

This site also has a lot of info on subs amps and other things that you can read over as well.

i think i just gave myself a concussion i facepalmed so hard.

and for the 1's that dont like me.....

well, Im still here fuckers. Cant get rid of me that easy.

Well I wouldn't consider myself an audio guru by any means. I figured parallel would be the best approach to take, just wanted some reassurance and figured this is the place I could come to for that.

Oh, my bad. How do you like your Memphis subs? Guy at school has two Mojo's on a Memphis Competition amp and it's ungodly how hard they hit.
