Nova Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 2 of my 6x9's are whining and it is driving me nuts. They're running through an amp so I thought it was the amp ground but it's not... I grounded it to 4 different places and even cut a hole in my cab floor to ground it to the chassis but it still whines... No matter what I do. It's driving me insane. Could it be the speakers? Bad amp? Wtf? stop making sense you'll kill the argument. Earth, you feel me? You aren't loud enough to be felt.

Toady Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 I have had this same problem, are you running two amps??, one amp??, A good chance it's your rca's. If you have them together with your power wire move it and see what happens. Also if you have a second amp one for bass and one for highs make sure that you dont run a rca between the two, For the highs run another cable from the head-unit to the highs and and same for the subs

The amp is an MTX terminator. It never whined when they were under my seat... Or the seat muffled the whine. My speaker wire is maybe a two feet long and I don't see any power wire near it. I just put bucket seats in my truck, that's why they're not under seats anymore. stop making sense you'll kill the argument. Earth, you feel me? You aren't loud enough to be felt.
