Alternator swap questions.

Recommended Posts

Alright I have a 92 engine in my 86, and I just went to the junkyard and got the brackets and pulleys and power steering pump and alt off of a 94 with the same engine I have in my truck so I can have a serp setup and have all my pulleys aligned. Well I'm hoping I can keep my stock 86 alt and just swap pulleys, but if I can't and have to use the newer alt, I'm going to have to rig up the plug on the newer alt to work with my older setup. My alt has a 2 prong plug and the 94 alt has a 4 prong plug. What would have to be done to change out the plugs? What wire is what?
