Steve is a legend in SPL and holds about a half dozen world records many of which are still standing. He came over to the SQ side this year and built a beautiful Avalanche with about 20,000 watts! A pair of Incriminator Audio 18's getting 10,000 watts each. Yes, 10,000 watts each! This thing will do nearly 155 db at the headrest at 30 Hz!!!!!! Best of all, it sounds great too! The high part of the show was when he had "You dropped the bomb on me" playing. It was like a ride at Disney Land. People would jump in and listen then jump out for the next one and they were lined up. It was awesome!

IMO a car should focus on front stage 6.5 comps coax 5 1/4 whatever a center channel is just un nessacery in all vehicles i've been in with center channels i barely hear them if ur doin SQ MAYBE sorry for spelling a lil typsy right now RIP The 03 prix! I drove one and it has a mod to let you watch DVDs while you drive and the center channel functioned like a center channel in a home theater setup, if that tells you anything.

Nirvalica Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 How would you use a center channel in a SQ setup? Music is mixed to be played on a stereo speaker setup, aka two channels left and right. Would you just send both the left and right signal to the middle? That sounds pretty dumb to me... Now if u want a center channel for 5.1 surround sound for movies, that might work. My Youtube Page. I think it was one of GM's weird 6x8 speaker size or whatever it is .. or 4x6.. something weird.
