psx2p
So im using an old PT amp right now and originally i planned on buying the Rockford Fosgate T1000bd amp, i just realized at 4ohms the RMS will only be 250W, the RMS of the woofers i have are 500W a piece. so what should i buy? an Alpine? a Rockfrod Fosgate? this is my enclosure any help is appreciated EDIT: i found this. Option 1 (parallel) = 2 ohm load Voice coils wired in parallel Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1 ohm mono One 4 ohm DVC Speaker = 2 ohm load Option 2 (series) = 8 ohm load Voice coils wired in series Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono One 4 ohm DVC Speaker = 8 ohm load so i can indeed wire the 2 woofers down to a 2ohm load and push 500W RMS to them? JPagan
You have 2 sub with D4 coils right? That means you can wire them to 1ohm, and get the most out of the RF P1000-1bd which does 1000rms@1ohm.

Ebes
yea there both dual 4ohm coils, how would i go about wiring them? Its real simple your amp puts out 1k rms at 1 ohm...2 dvc 4 woofers and you want to wire them at 1 ohm. Wire the positives tgether and all the negatives. I dont know how to put up pictures but go to rockfords site and go to the wiring wizard under support. Select 2 woofers then 2x4 for 2 woofers that are 4ohms. then hit the find button. Will be the first diagram showing a 1 ohm load.
