They are made from laminated cardboard, but don't let that fool you. I have a pic of me standing on a one foot section with no deflection and I weigh 285 pounds. These are very strong! The actual measurements are: Length 48 7/8" Diameter 8 5/8" Thickness 3/8" These weigh 11 pounds each, so shipping will be a flat $13 each through Fedex. These will be shipped by me simply taping the packing info on the tube, that's it. I figured I would sell them cheap because I got them cheap. I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
