jlaudio16
my buddy was cranking his system and all of a sudden his amp fuses blew (4x40A) just wondering what causes that, plus wen he cranks his system the voltage drops to 11 or 10.9, can that cause the fuse on the amp to blow? Ndnkobra
in general, fuses blow because you're pulling too much current. Thats why they blow, to prevent whatever you fused from melting and catching on fire, in his case the amp. And if his voltage is dropping that low, i'd tell him to turn the gain down on his amp and beef up his electrical. 160 amps is a lot of current being pulled, and if he pulled more than that to blow the fuses i feel like his gain is turned up way too high.
