tdc3187 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Anyone here actually have the smart start. I have some questions before I buy. 1.) I hear you are able to recieve alarm signals on your Iphone now. 2.) I think I read some where that there is a vehicle locator, does this work and how does it work (does it pull a map, or....) 3.) Is it worth the extra money. I know they were adding alarm paging sometime in the future... idk if they have added it yet. And is it worth the extra money... ehh... I can get them a hell of alot cheaper than the public and I have an iphone and I don't have one... and it's not because of lack of funds. It is a novelty to me, I have a 5901 and am always in range of my car whenever I want to use it. tdc3187 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 At my job I am required to park about two miles away and get shuttled in, I like to be able to know if my alarm is going off. Plus my neighborhood sucks. I am getting my garage cleaned out so I can actually use it for car parking (novel concept). Plus I think insurance might hook it up with a discount. If you are that far away I'd say go for it... just make sure if you are in a parking garage that the unit will be able to get cell service...
