tyhead
There is a high pitched noise that happens/gets louder when the engine speeds up from the components/tweeters. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks

tyhead
not usually are your rcas close to your power wire? and is this a pioneer H/U? It's an old Rockford deck and the amp is a punch 400-4, the battery is in the trunk so the rcas and power aren't close. By the way, i picked up a pair of crossfire bmf 12s in a box today for 70$ good deal? good subs? Edited March 1, 2010 by tyhead

tyhead
now we are gettin somewhere...unplug the rca from the amp and see if the noise is still there I'll check in the morning. Let's say it doesn't make the noise anymore. What does that mean. What about it if does?
bustedassblazer
I'll check in the morning. Let's say it doesn't make the noise anymore. What does that mean. What about it if does? if it stops then its time to see if its inducted through the rcas or produced by the headunit...if it still does it then its coming from the amplifier Quote 1996 S-10 Blazer Kenwood DNX-6140 (2)Kinetik HC2000 (2)US Amps MD3Dv2 US Amps MD42v2 (4)Hertz HCX-165 (front doors) (2)Hertz HL-70 (dash) (2)Hertz HT-25 (dash) (2)Hertz SX-380D
tyhead
if it stops then its time to see if its inducted through the rcas or produced by the headunit...if it still does it then its coming from the amplifier Well the amp was literally put in this morning, so probably the head unit? i guess it would make sense because it's a rockford from the 90's haha
