MTX J30 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I did a carfax on the car I was supposed to pick up this week and it says it was in an accident on sept 8th in 2004 and then the transmission was checked at a dealership on march 9th in 2005. everything else is really good. The accident report was new york police report #31332044. Is there anyway I can check how bad the accident was. Why do you think the transmission was checked? Baydestrian Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Could have been checked for a number of reasons...we can't tell you why lol Carfax should say if it was a minor or major accident...call the PD and give them the report # or go down there and ask them How many miles are on the car? Blackedout Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 You should be worried if you want a car that hasn't been in an accident... But otherwise, I think you're probably alright. Just inspect the frame when you look at the car. if it looks fucked, don't get it. Quote Trunk Build Log
