Sidekicker Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Hello everyone, I am new to this forum but have been around car audio for most of my life, even though im only in high school. I understand everything pretty well, but after reading through this forum, i can tell that there are wayyyy more things to learn. I have also found that there are many brands out there, that are much better than the big name brands. Which leads me to my next point. I am building a stereo in my 91' Suzuki Sidekick and i am having mixed thoughts about my subs. My origional thought was 2 12W1 Jl's, with a Jl 500/1 amp. But after doing some research im thinking of doing 2 RE Audio SRX 12D4's. I have not quite decided on an amp, but somthing that will at least put out around 750 wrms. Is this a good upgrade? Going from he Jl's to the RE's. I will have to have the box custom made by the stereo shop, because i want a fiberglass box that will fit behind my front seats. And i have a good amount of room to extend the box if more airspace is needed. And i am on a budget, so i dont want to spend hundreds on subs. So what do you think?
