Bass from the Krypt

Want the real story from the horses mouth? Yes, our music is copywrited. And technically, guys like decaf have to get our express written permission to release even a remixed version of our songs. He doesn't profit from it, he's just a basshead so we tend to just let it go. As far as illegal downloads on torrents? Yeah, our attorneys send out emails on almost a daily basis to have our music taken down. You have to remember, it hurts the artist, the record label, the distribution company, etc. This is how these people put food on the table for their family-would you like your employer asking you to do your job without pay? Or even worse, hand him a check at the end of the week for working for him?

So yes, it happens. But SMD takes a great proactive stance on it. We support sites like this because they do know the difference and the legalities involved. Sites that openly support torrent downloads (even foreign ones) do get shut down daily. Steve has a good thing going here. I don't think any member would like to see him in trouble over it. You want to buy ANY of our CD's? Contact us. or go to www.IBPBASS.com. They are available again so the excuse "they are not for sale anymore-so it is okay to download it" is no longer valid...

Thanks for understanding, nothing I've ever done was for profit and never will be.

I will make sure to ask in the future.
