so my buddy is buildin a box for a XXX V3 18" ....

and somethin hit him in the head and now he thinks that it needs 188square inches of port for 7cubes @ 35Hz

i say 80-90square inch of port for 7cubes ...

what do u think ...any experience with these subs

u forgot to add, that the sub is going to work on about 3kw power.

thats only about 12-13 inchs of port per cube thats the min. amount i woould use try around 110

110 maybe if it was a higher tuned semi-SPL box. You lose too much box volume with these massive ports.

Look how big Steve's port is... on both the hoe and the hoopty... or look at Frankie Rio. You don't need stupid big ports to get loud.

I would go 80-90.
