I have: - 1 12" JL w3vw - 1 Alpine MRP - M1000 (700watts) Is my amp giving my sub all 700 watts? Or is it just pushing it to the subs limit? Thanks in advance for all replies.

LOOK AT THE AMPS FUSE AND MULTIPLY BY 14V OR 13V,IT WILL TELL YOU THE RMS OF THE AMP AND CALCULATE IT ON THE WIRING YOU WIRE YOUR SUBWOOFER

mlstrass Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Okay man thanks! Helped alot Some companies "over fuse" their amps to give the impression that they do more power then they actually do. Also the sub and enclosure will make a difference. Only way to find out for real is do a clamp test to measure imp rise and actual wattage being pushed by the amp.
