How would I hook up my Z-5500 to xbox360 + to hdtv?

Anyhow, I've borrowed a friend's xbox 360 and now playing ff13. The 360 is currently hooked up to the family hdtv 1080i (about 50 inch or something), but I don't think it's hooked up with the correct cables because it's using the 3 input thing. But why is the price on that so cheap?

My parents don't want me to play game consoles on their HDTV because they say it would ruin it so I"m now thinking about trying to hook up this xbox 360 to my v7 22'' computer monitor by using this:

technically mine is set up in 8.1 surround I use my TVs left and right channels and sub with my 5.1 surround. And there is a BIG difference between digital fiber optic sound and analog RCA connections especially on the rear channels but only audiophiles would notice.

would be a 7.1 if you count your tv's speakers as 2 because the .1 means the subwoofer if you have a 7.2 or a 5.2 home theature system means you have 5/7 speakers and 2 subs.
