I should be upgrading to some componets and coax's in my yukon the next couple of weeks. Was wondering what kind of 12guage wire I should get. What should i look out for? 100 ft should be good, right. As of now i have monster cable speaker wire ( spliced into factory harness). Was going to run all new wire to the doors. Anybody run the Knu speaker wire? Again this is going to be on a tight budget, just looking for good inexpensive wire. Looking at $100 or less for 100 feet.

I ended up going with stinger pro wire in 12 guage. The rear doors on my 06 yukon have a door connecter for the electrical. What I did, was i took a small grinder and notched the side if the connecter. Applied some felt tape to the body and positioned the wire on the side of the connecter and pushed it through. The wire is not pinched at all and will not schaffe ( felt tape).The front in these trucks have a huge boot that you can stuff a lot of wire through. So ran the 12 guage there and also ran two strands of the 16 guage through ( dual tweeters in the a-pillar) . The crossovers will be mounted in the doors. So, i only needed about 50 feet of 12guage and 20 feet of the 16. Luckily, when i went to the shop and bought the wire, they only had 54 feet of the 12 guage. It would have been ok if i got the 100 though, have some for next install or if decide to add more speakers later.

stinger pro isnt that expensive, or at least at my local shop, i think its like 75 cents a foot
