Jared420
Ok I have a question. I am wondering, I have my new amp coming tomorrow, and for right now my subs are wired the way they are on this site, http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=4&I=42 the 2 ohm picture obviously, I have them wired like that for now cuz I had 2 aq 1200s strapped. Had to have a 2 ohm load. When I put my clif design amp in tomorrow I will leave it at 2 ohm this way for a couple weeks. Then I will be taking the subs and box out to coat the box in bedliner and rewire the subs. If I wire them to .5 can I break down into 2 sets and hook 2 subs together and to the amp and the other 2 subs together to the same outputs on the amp, so using 4 wires to my amp rather than 2? or will that completely change the load. My reasoning behind this is because I want to make sure the wire is not restricting any power to the subs, I am using 8 gauge wire for my subs. 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
kmalinich
well.. website says it's .5 ohm stable... and as far as wiring 8 gauge will not be restricting in any way... don't worry about that. and just wire them up exactly as it shows on the12volt for a .5 ohm load
