Advice on setup?

I have an Orion HCCA 15.2 wired to 1 OHM. I have the option of putting it in a 2002 Toyota Camry or a 1992 Toyota land cruiser. I was planning on getting a Quantum Cozmik series QCA4500D amp to push it. I just wanted to know what modifications would be necessary to run this sub at a decent amount of watts (i was hoping for ~2500 rms).

Any advice/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah just one get rid of that amp taht you have and get a better one

it has liuke 8 gauge terminals and last i saw a real 4500 watt amp would at least need 0/1 gauge terminals if not higher due to the demand of a bigger wire for it to power it right

that and on what ever car you do decide to get at least upgrade the battery

I'd save my money and get something other than the quantum amp.

My friend said i should get a Kinetik battery but idk how many amps i need. Would that be enough to power an amp of around 2k-2.5k watts rms - at least 4k watts peak?

I wanted to spend ~300 for a decent amp. But i want something that'll be able to last so i'd be willing to spend more if that's what it means.

Its not too good to add a kinetik battery without a ho alt but i dont have one either.. your gonna need at least the HC2400 im at 2200watts and it works great. But ditch that amp get something a little bit, actually a lot better lol

audioque aq1200d less than $300

sundown saz 1000d over $500

rockford fosgate p1000 1bd over $600

rockford fosgate t1000 1bd over $600

Wouldn't running it underpowered overheat it?

And what's up with all these amps i see online for like 200-300 dollars that say they have like 2200w rms and 4000w peak? Are they just cheap and won't last or is it that they're just posting fake watts?

EDIT: i've looked into buying a 220 amp iraggi alt and a kinetik hc2400. If i need to buy them to power a system, it's within my price range. But all the popular brand name amps i see are waay expensive for me.

Ive had experience with those big orion hcca and i must say this and please listen, they are POWER hungry. My friend had his 12 with a zx1500 kicker which rated at 1800 watts rms at 2 ohms and let me tell you the orion was laughing at it and his setup was not loud at all. You definately need to give this sub at the very minimum 2200 rms and more preferably. They do sound nice and with power they are great. Also do not do sealed they must be ported for the loudest sound.
