white4d96
My friend's Neon has an issue with the remote wire on the head unit. It won't turn the amp on. I tried jumping power from the constant on the amp to the remote and it jumped right on. I ran a new remote wire and it didn't work. Finally, we exchanged the HU for a replacement. No dice. What else could it be? Too many projects, too little time...
Team-Atomic-Andrew
check the output volts off the remote wire, its its low it may be time to install a relay to switch the hot over to the remote
white4d96
I just don't get why it randomly happened. It worked fine, then his mechanic disconnected a bunch of crap changing the engine out when it blew (he snapped the timing belt.) We got it back and reattached all the wiring and this came up. EDIT: speaking of which, his car has never had a working factory constant wire for the HU, and the switched is constant. WTF? (I reran both, but still.) Too many projects, too little time... Rogers
remote signal may not be strong enough... or you may have the wrong wire hooked up... try listening to a radio station and see if the amp kicks on... could be that you have it connected the power antenna wire and not the remote... ive made this mistake myself so i figured id toss out the possibility... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/79921-rogers-700-dream-car-update-page-17-a-wall/?p=2335774 93 Saturn SC2My system4 SA-15's Walled 2 Cerwin-Vega S2000's 3 Kinetik Hc2000's Dual 200amp alts. you guys done with the peepee touching contest or do I need to end it?
