Port width on T style slot

If your using two woofers and the slot port is on the middle of the two woofers, and if the port is to long and has to T off to the back of the box, does the port width that 90s to the left and right has to equal the middle port width? So for example if the middle port width is 4" the port width that 90s to the left and right would be 2"? Thank

iirc when the port splits off it has to be half the size of the main port (where the 2 smaller ports join together)

so if you have a 3" main port, it would split off into 2 1.5" ports.

so yea it would split off into 2 2" ports

if your port needs to be 2" wide the back wall will be 2" and where they meet should be 4"

Thanks for the reply I got confused because dj from audioque told me to make them the same as the middle, unless I heard him wrong. Thanks again
