ISO Posted March 27, 2010 Report Share Posted March 27, 2010 how do i know what ohm the amp is at? i understand how to bring the subs to 8ohms ( pos-neg neg-neg) You need to find the specs on the amp first and that will tell you what ohm load the amp can handle. At 8 ohms you will not be getting enough power to thos subs if that is a 500 watt amp at 2 ohms or 1 ohms. kmalinich Posted March 27, 2010 Report Share Posted March 27, 2010 once you get it wired.. measure the ohm rating at the terminals of the amp. or you can do it mathematically... or the12volt has some really good diagrams. look for a diagram for 2 DVC 4 ohm subs.
