box tunning math.

Ok well i've always been curious on the math that it take to tune a box. I can handel the level of math it takes just need to know the equations and varibles that are needed. also i would really love to know how to do a bandpass box desgin like a fourth order. So if anyone on here that is experienced in the math part of box designing please inform me because i'd really like to know how to do this with out the tunning calculator and be able to do it on my own.

Pretty simple actually. Problems usually arise when you build a shell then try to make port adjustments. A TI-89 is very useful because you can put other equations into the tuning formula in place of the variables so every time you changle something small, like port length, then everything in the equation updates yielding an accurate answer.

Most of it is all you. As long as you can understand having 15 equations in one to make things accurate, then you'll be fine.

cross sectional is port area... LxW or if you have aero ports its (Pi)r^2
