Going from single 18 to 2 12s

I've got a single cab truck, and my previous system was a nightshade 18'' in a 5 cube box @ 30hz behind the seats (yes I was riding the dash quite a bit). It seemed like it was really "stuffy" in the truck and was only loud when I had a door wide open. I had it on an AQ2200 @ 1 ohm, and now I have a pair of "custom" Cadence Daytona 12s that I plan on using. I have the box already, and it fits ALOT better than the 18 box lol. Im getting rid of the 18 to help pay for a new amp. Im thinking 2k-3k watts on the pair of 12s. Think I'll be louder? I hear the daytonas are really nice...the ones I have are 12 spoke and apparently are beefier than the normal ones.
