10-12 cubic feet after displacment, braced well, 14 or so square inches of port per cube, orientation will depend on what vehicle you come back from auction with, make sure you upgrade the electrical and get a couple extra batteries, don't skimp on the 1/0, sound deaden and brace everything you possibly can.

It all depends on the car and the budget bro. If you get a tahoe then a big ported box will be making some air move, but as far as the mids and highs really need to know what kind of money you are working with.
